Fees & Funding

Registration & Deposits

A non-refundable registration fee of £20.00 is required upon registration.

A one-week deposit is also required. This deposit will either be refunded when your child leaves the nursery or applied towards the final week’s fees, provided that a written four-week notice is given.

Please be aware that families who are using our setting exclusively under the Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) scheme are not required to pay the registration fee.

Fee Payments

Fees must be paid one week in advance, including bank holidays, regardless of whether your child attends.

Payments should be made to the office by cash or cheque at the beginning of each week (Monday), or monthly where agreed.

Please note that a £15.00 charge will apply for any cheque returned unpaid by the bank.

Please note that this applies to both Smart Start and Pearl Nursery.

If you are eligible for any government funding, any applicable funding will be calculated for you upon enquiry.

Government-Funded Early Education:

15 Hours a Week

3&4 year olds Universal Entitlement

2 year old Entitlement

Parents can choose to use their 15 funded hours in one of the following ways:

2 full days per week
3 shorter days per week
5 mornings or afternoons per week

30 Hours a Week

9-23 month Working Parent Entitlement

2 year old Working Parent Entitlement

3&4 year old Working Parent Entitlement

Parents can choose to use their 30 funded hours in one of the following ways:

5 days per week
4 days per week
3 full days per week
